Parents/Guardians: New School Times for Middle Schools

SENATE BILL 328 Pupil Attendance: School Start Time

Signed by Governor Newsom in 2019, the bill requires the school day for middle schools and high schools, including those operated as charter schools, to begin no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., respectively, by July 1, 2022. This law will effect Columbia Middle School, Melva Davis Academy of Excellence and Mesa Linda Middle School.

Parents/Guardians: Summer Enrichment Camp 2022 - Now Easier to Register

The Adelanto Elementary School District is offering a summer enrichment camp for grades K-7: June 9 to July 1, 2022. Session will be from 8 am to 12 noon. An afterschool program will be offered from 12 noon to 3 pm. Our highest priority is to provide safe spaces with caring adults, and learning opportunities grounded in student interests that can spark their engagement, foster their recovery, and prepare them for the fall. Adelanto Teachers’ Association: College Scholarship Program for Former AESD Students

The Adelanto District Teachers’ Association (ADTA) will be awarding three $500 scholarships to eligible graduating high school seniors. If you plan to attend a college, trade or technical school and a former student of the Adelanto Elementary School District (minimum of one year). Applicants must complete the application and activity sheet.

Parents: we understand the past two years have been challenge with the pandemic/COVID-19, now is a good time to focus on new beginnings and a bright future. Please join workshop series on Mental Health. We will discuss topics such as grief & loss, trust, substance abuse, job interview preparation, anger management and one of the favorite workshops: a personality course. English & Español.

Melva Davis Academy of Excellence: Application to Enroll Deadline March 15

Melva Davis Academy of Excellence is accepting applications for new 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. The deadline to apply is March 15. 2022.

MDAE is a parent choice school. The school’s academic programs focus on the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) curriculum and activities. MDAE offers co-curricular activities such as Computer Coding, Makers' Club, Science, Club, Titan News Club as well as extra-curricular programs: basketball, cheer, tabletop gaming, volleyball.
